March – April 2008
Praise the Lord we have been back now in Argentina for 6 weeks after our time of furlough. The ministries here are growing and we have seen many blessings. The Lord has kept the attendance up the entire time we were gone, but the most exciting blessing was to see many new people who were saved during our time away and are now becoming involved in the churches. The two young men who were in charge of the churches while we were away did a great job and are a great blessing and help to me in the ministry.
Since arriving back, our schedule has been very full! The end of February we had our annual Church Camp with over 80 people attending the week. Several people made professions of faith and 3 were baptized.
On March 30th we will be having another baptism and are expecting a good number to get baptized and joined to the church. The Lord has blessed the services lately with an attendance of over 100 on Sunday mornings and visitors in almost every service.
This past month the owner of the building we are currently renting suprised us by saying that we needed to leave his building by the end of April. So we have 6 weeks to get out of the building we are currently in and get on the new land that was purchased. We don't have a building yet but we are praying that we will be able to have something up temporarily. We had looked at the option of renting another building but for the amount of space that we need to continue growing, it is going to cost over $1000 a month to rent. After much prayer, we have decided to move onto the land and little by little build as we meet in a temporary structure. The people have agreed that this is the best thing to do and they are excited to get on the property and see what the Lord is going to do. We will be laying down the foundation this coming week with the help of the men in the church. Please be praying that the Lord will guide us and we will be able to have something up by the first of May.
We want to thank all those who gave sacrificially for the land in Argentina. It is our desire to use it for the glory of God and to see many more people saved and growing in His will. It is definitely a blessing to have our own property now and the people are so excited to start building!
