Hello! We are Jeff and Mindy Bush, missionaries serving in La Plata, Argentina.  Our sending church is Whitfield Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia; and our mission board is Macedonia World Baptist Missions.

It is our desire and goal as we serve here in Argentina to win souls to the Lord, plant strong Independent Baptist churches and train men and women in the ministry!

Only one life, so soon will be past -- only what's done for Christ will last.  We pray that the Lord will use us to His fullest and to His glory for our entire lives!

I hope that you will use this website as a tool to more effectively serve in your area of the world.

Interesting Stats about Argentina:

  • Argentina is the 2nd largest country in South America.  It is approximately one-third the size of the continental United States.
  • Around 93% of the people profess to be Roman Catholic.
  • More than one third of the population of Argentina lives in the capital city, Buenos Aires
  • The currency is the Argentine peso (ARS)
  • There are 23 provinces in Argentina
  • The majority of Argentines descend from Italian and Spanish immigrants.
  • European influences permeate Argentina's art, architecture, literature and lifestyle.
  • The capital is also home to Latin America's biggest Jewish community, as well as Arabs and Armenians.
  • Avenue 9 de Julio is popularly known as the world's widest thoroughfare and is truly a pedestrian's nightmare.
  • Sport is extremely important in Argentina and soccer is more of a national obsession than a game.
  • Spanish is the official language, but some immigrant communities retain their language as a badge of identity. Immigrants mainly from Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, the Ukraine, China and many European countries usually live together in communities.
  • Meat dominates Argentina's menus, and 'meat' means beef.
  • The sharing of mate, Paraguayan tea, is a ritual more than a beverage, and if offered is a special expression of acceptance. The leaves, a relation to holly, are elaborately prepared and the mixture is drunk from a shared gourd.
  • Argentina's main industries are agriculture and beef production.

The people of Argentina, like the rest of the world, are in need of the Gospel.  While the millions die in heathen lands, many so called Christians never even think of doing what our Savior has commanded us to do—Go and take the Precious Word of life before it is too late.  As stated by Carl F. H. Henry, "The gospel is only good news if it gets there in time”.

We would like to invite you to come have a part of the work in Argentina.  You can visit with a group or by yourself—come visit us soon!
